How many sessions will I need?

How often a client sees us can vary widely depending on various factors. No fixed number of sessions applies to everyone, as each individual's needs and circumstances are unique.

Very often clients will start by seeing their therapist once a week for a little while to gain momentum in therapy (usually for at least the first 3-6 weeks), with this dropping off over time as the client notices that they are achieving what they sought to achieve (often to fortnightly, and then slowly to monthly).

Psychologists will work collaboratively with you to determine the appropriate duration and frequency of sessions based on individual progress and evolving needs.

Ultimately, the number of sessions needed is highly individualised. Some people may find relief and achieve their goals in a relatively short time, while others may benefit from more extended or ongoing support. Regular communication between the client and the psychologist is key to assessing progress and making any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan.

Do you also accept private insurance claims?

We don't process private insurance claims, however, you can use any insurance that covers psychology sessions. We’ll just provide a receipt so you can make the claim yourselves.

Why is neurodiversity often overlooked or misdiagnosed in females?

Neurodiversity in females often is more an internalising presentation with high levels of masking and camouflaging, resulting in misdiagnosis, or incorrect diagnosis which can lead to extremely poor mental health outcomes and burn out. Research shows that 80% of autistic females remain undiagnosed or misdiagnosed at the age of 18. We are here to take you and your experiences seriously with compassion and understanding.
